i like how this presentation pitches idea barriers as roles that people play. I think that's so true.
I can remember in specific office settings seeing people in the room address the ideas from the vantage point of a character. These were people who, if you talked to them about interesting things outside of the work place, were incredibly open and risk-taking about those ideas. I wonder if the dynamics of office politics and roles are the two things that create this blindness. Like, as soon as you feel you are put into a role, you are not able to see things from the perspective of an original mind.
